JAI 362 Inspiration

Hello there,
oh my it is chilly here this week, which makes snuggling up somewhere warm and crafting a very attractive prospect! Will you join me? Then join us in the new Just Add Ink challenge this week. It's a colour challenge from Nikki.

My Mum asked me to make a card for neighbour's who are expecting their first baby, since we know it's to be a boy, the colours were just perfect for a dreamy little number using Moon Baby.

I started by brayering a gradient of colour on Shimmery White, I though Peekaboo Peach would be a perfect for creating that suggestion of a sunrise or sunset sky. Then I coloured my dreaming baby on watercolour paper and trimmed him out. I layered him on a stitched Shimmery White circle, white embossed some stars and added a few glimmer clouds to give some gorgeous sparkle. Pulling out the sewing machine and adding a stitched border proved to be the perfect way frame this dreamy scene.

The JAI DT have some gorgeous projects to show just how versatile this colour combo is, so don't forget to check out the rest of the teams projects!

Thanks for visiting,
Kim

  1. OMG, that's the first thought I had when I saw your card - a sweet baby drifting off to sleep in the clouds above a sunset. Stunning card, and definitely a treasure for the family.
