Just Add Ink #627 Choose Two

Hello there,

I had a busy busy week so having a card come together easily for this challenge was super helpful. I think you'll find this week's Just Add Ink challenge, from Tina, is a fun one. This week we want you to Just Choose Two.

So choose two of the above options and feature them on your project. I went night and pulled out a classic SU! set that I love.

This came together really quickly. I picked my colours for the night sky, masked a moon to add some drama, balance and the perfect place to place the iconic santa and his sleigh image. Cut a town silhouette - just love when a die does all the work for you! Splattered everything with white gouache and wink of stella and heat embossed the sentiment. IRL the colours are more intense and I am really happy with the outcome.

Stamps: Hearts Come Home (R)

Dies: Hometown Greetings (R)

Cardstock: Basic White, Basic Black

Ink: Versamark, Tuxedo Black (Memento), Starry Sky, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink

Accessories: 1 3/8" circle punch (R), Blending brushes, Heat tool, White embossing powder, Wink of Stella, White gouache, Big Shot die cutting machine (R), Dimensionals, Tear and Tape.

 

Just Add Ink #430 Inspiration

Hi there,
well it was back to work this week and the weather appropriately regressed to grey wintery skies! But before I did I was able to put together a project for this week's Just Add Ink challenge. This week Rochelle has asked to Just Add Inspiration, here's the inspiration picture.

I pulled the colours (pink, pale blue and light green) and the idea of foliage and flowers and morphed that into a Christmas wreath. Here's how it turned out.

The most involved part of this was the die cutting, but once all the pieces were cut it was actually pretty quick to add extra colour and depth to all my pieces using SU! blends alcohol markers. Accents of silver glimmer, rhinestones and Wink of Stella add the necessary Christmas bling.

Just Add Ink #425 Inspiration

Hello there,
very excitingly spring has begun this week and just to prove the point our first daffodil bloomed! To fit with the spring mood down under this week at Just Add Ink  Kelly has asked to us Just Add Inspiration giving us a lovely picture filled with blooms! Here it is. You can use the colours, patterns, or objects of the picture to inspire your project.

I always like to create at least one pink toned Christmas card and I decided this was the time to do it. 

I used the pink and green tones from the inspiration picture to fill my card with colour, keeping the other elements crisp white accented with gleams of silver.
