Hello there,
not too many flowers in our garden right now as its been ravaged by heat, repeatedly, and also a massive hailstorm - golf ball size, once! Luckily I can always create my own. So for this week's Colour INKspiration #71 challenge I pulled out some new flowers dies from SU!
This week at Colour INKspiration Jackie selected a photo with a lovely soft colour palette. It has a very rustic feel and the colours are Highland Heather, Pool Party, Grey Granite and Pear Pizzazz. Here's the inspiration picture.

When you have a restricted colour palette it's always handy to remember that if you add the ink to the same shade of card stock you will end up with a darker shade and that was how I got the two shades for my poppies and their leaves. First, I die cut all the pieces, then I laid out all the detail layers and brayered the matching ink over them. Then I glued all my layers together and arranged the leaves and poppies in a loose wreath. Glimmer paper, shimmery crystal effects and sequins add all those important sparkle elements to finish off the card.
You can join in the challenge over at the Colour INKspiration challenge page on Facebook, just click the link to be redirected and ask to join the group, that way you can load your projects directly to the Facebook group.

Kim
