Hi there,
Well its been a while as things have been busy on the home front, and our sorry saga of germs also continues - Mr 1.5 must be on his 5th or 6th case of mystery red spots and I still have a cold!!
Anyway onto this week challenge by Makeesha Byl, Keesh set quite nice combo for a colour challenge. Here are the colour picks and following that my card.
The card is largely a case of, and inspired by a gorgeous creation that my lovely talented friend Sam, created for a class on emboss resist, which I was lucky enough to attend. Having just acquired a brayer I decided to have a go at my version using the challenge colours. It took a bit of fiddling but in the end I decided to stamp Regal Rose onto Whisper White using my Floral background stamp. Then over that I stamped the large daisies from Inspired by Nature in versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I inked up the brayer with Real Red and went over the whole panel, the embossed daisies suddenly popping out. Once the brayering was done I just wiped off the ink that remained over the embossing. The image panel was mounted onto a white panel and that onto a Regal Rose panel. To finish off the card I added Saffron buttons threaded with red embroidery thread, then using glue dots stuck one each onto the three daisies. Across the bottom I ran some Saffron grosgrain ribbon (from this months ribbon bundle special), tied across and up the top added the sentiment, using the word window punch. Then this triple layered panel was popped up on dimensionals and adhered to the Real Red card base. The inside was finished off very simply just by stamping off the daisies inside in Real Red.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting.
