Just Add Ink #423 Colour

Hello there,
sheesh it has been a busy week and I am really glad it's Friday! Friday also means a new Just Add Ink challenge. This week we are asking you to Just Add a Colour Combo (I chose the colours). Here are they are.

And here's what I came up with. I put together the colours hoping they would be suitable for Father's Day card and that is what I made for my FIL.

My FIL is fond of a coffee and honestly there aren't many of us that don't start the day with a hot cuppa of some kind. I added in some texture by using a stitched framelit and Wood Textures DSP and a bit of sheen by embossing the cup lid. Ok and I snuck in a few sequins to represent the steam and aroma seeping up out of the cup. I figured I could get away with that even if it was a masculine card!

Just Add Ink #415 Inspiration

Hello there,
well my garden is winter bare and brown but I have filled my card for this week's Just Add Ink challenge with cascades of pink blossoms. If you are thinking of spring then we have the perfect challenge for you this week, as Rachael has asked us to Just Add Inspiration, and blossoms might just be featured ;) Here's the inspiration pic. You can use the colours, patterns, or objects in the picture to inspire your project.

I imagined a peaceful garden scene with a chair tucked under a cascade of fragrant blossoms, and with the help of a lot of stamping and die cutting I think I got there. 

To add some extra dimension in I mounted the whole top mat on dimensionals, layered some of my blossoms on dimensionals and also backed my chair with several layers of cardstock. To add some shimmer I swiped over all my flowers with some wink of stella.
