Colour Inkspiration #56

Hello there,
welcome to the Colour INKspiration 56 blog hop. If you are hopping your way around the blog hop, you will have arrived from Leonie Stuart's blog. If you are starting the hop here but would like to go to the start at the  Colour INKspiration challenge page over on Facebook, just click the link to be redirected and ask to join the group, that way you can load your projects directly to the Facebook group.

Here's the INKspiration picture for this week. This week it's filled with deep richly coloured florals featuring the colours Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Garden Green.

Here what I came up with.

This was all about the colouring for me (and just a little simple masking so I could get a continuous floral frame). Basically just ink and watercolour paper, then finished off with a stitched edge, a lick of Wink of Stella, and some sequins.

Hope you can join us and have some fun too! The challenge runs till Monday 10th June so there is plenty of time to join in. Next up, on the blog hop is Nicole Wilson with a lovely project. Enjoy!

Just Add Ink #456 Inspiration

Hello there,
this week at Just Add Ink Nikki is asking us to Just Add Inspiration. If you are still in need of a Mothers Day card or two then this challenge will be perfect for you! Check out the image below, you can use the colours, patterns or objects from the image as the main element of your project.

Here's what I came up with.

I embossed a sea of white daisies on vellum and then played around with different backing colours, eventually settling on the light grey, as I loved the contrast it provided. I didn't want to distract from the background to much so I kept my focal element small, adding a pop of colour with the yellow and a little bit of floral padding. This was my first outing with the new Daisy Lane set (available in June when the new SU! catalogue goes live) and I found it a pleasure to work with!

The Just Add Ink DT have a lots of beautiful projects to show you so please do go check them out. Then come and join in the challenge.

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
