Just Add Ink #449 Colour

Hello there,
we have a vibrant new challenge this week for you at Just Add Ink. Jo has asked us to Just Add Colour and these colours are bold and bright! Here they are.

This is what I came up with.

I can almost always find a solution with flowers, and this challenge was no exception. I created a floral frame for my birthday sentiment and balanced out all that bold bright colour with lots of white, but not too much! I even toned down the whiteness with lots of fine colourful splatter (which also served to hide the odd smear or imperfection - bonus!)

The Just Add Ink DT have lots of colourful inspiration for you so please go check them all out and then come back and join in the challenge. We'd love to see what you make with the colours!

Thanks for visiting,
Kim

Colour INKspiration #40

Hello there,
welcome to the Colour INKspiration 40 blog hop. If you are hopping your way around the blog hop, you will have arrived from Tanya Bell's blog. If you are starting the hop here but would like to go to the start at the  Colour INKspiration challenge page over on Facebook, just click the link to be redirected and ask to join the group, that way you can load your projects directly to the Facebook group.

Here's the INKspiration picture for this week. The colours for this round are Old Olive, Gorgeous Grape and Early Espresso.

Here's what I came up with.

Lots of water colouring for me this week.
Tip 1: I achieved the intense background and the different tones in the blooms by varying the amount of water I added to my drop of Gorgeous Grape reinker.
Tip 2: To create the frame I used my second largest stitched square framelit and used it to cut a rectangle using the partial die cutting technique. To create the window I simply used my trimmer.

Hope you can join us and have some fun too! The challenge runs for three weeks so there is plenty of time to join in. Next up, on the blog hop is Monique Fielder with another awesome project. Enjoy!
