Just Add Ink #413 Colour

Hello there,
winter is starting to kick in here this week, in fact snow on the mountains is forecast for the weekend! To counter act that wintery blast we have a very colourful challenge for you at Just Add Ink. This week Di has asked us to Just Add a Colour combo. I just loved this bright combination!

I couldn't resist the ombre tones here and going blue to green made me think of the ocean.

I kept the fussy bits stripped back on this as I wanted a more masculine feel, adding in some texture with the stitched line details and the watercolored sea panel. Those tiny fish are tiny but utterly adorable and I love how the silver foil gleams. The colours in this just make me happy and I was really pleased how it turned out.

The Just Add Ink DT have a gorgeous array of projects to show you so please go check them out and then join us in the challenge!

Thanks for visiting,
Kim

  1. Your card is fantastic, Kim! I love the stitching detail on the layered strips, and the watercolour background is perfect.

  2. This is so cool, Kim. I think we thought alike on the ombre effect, with very different methods. The stitched edge adds lovely texture & the watery sea behind the focal panel is a great effect. Definitely one you want to touch through the screen.
