Just Add Ink #568 Sketch

Hello there,
having a bit of a deja vu week with our first lockdown in a year happening this week. Spending some extra time at home however had the added benefit of time to work on my project for this week's Just Add Ink challenge. This week Lou is asking us to Just Add a Sketch, here it is.

My niece has a birthday coming up soon so I made this card with her in mind.

To start I added a subtle embossed texture to the background and then blended a soft gradient of colour coming up from the bottom, finishing it with a light splatter. For the main focal point I coloured in my sweet fairy girl, trimmed her out and mounted her on a couple of stitched layers. She was finished off with wink of Stella and shimmery crystal effects, and I added a scatter of sequins around her. I feel like the black I added makes it feel a little bit of grown up which suits an almost teenager.

The Just Add Ink DT have lots of fabulous projects to show you so please go check them out and then come back and join in the challenge.

Thanks for visiting,
Kim

Inkspirations 60 - Flower fairy fun

Hi there,

well finding time to do any stamping recently is well challenging, and when I turned my hand to this weeks Inkspiration challenge - a colour challenge - well I found it surprisingly challenging ;). Now I'm not going to babble on to much tonight as its getting late. So first up here is Keesh's colour pick.

This weekend is shaping up to be busy again as we already have a another birthday party for Miss 6 to attend - just as well I made a girls birthday card then!

I used an old Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge sketch (99) as the layout as for the rest well a mix of DSP and some colouring in (SU! markers for this one)- and of course some bling. Any questions just leave me a comment (told you I was going to be brief tonight!). I feel just a little unsure about this one - I'm still eyeing it off trying to figure out if I should add anything else, or not - lol!

Have a good night and rest of the week folks :)

Thanks for visiting,

Kim
