JAI 217 Just add cupcakes/cake/dessert

Hello there,
well we have a tasty challenge for you this week at Just Add Ink. This week we want you to Just Add Cupcake/Cake/Dessert to your papercrafting creations. Remember we love to see scrap pages as well as cards.

I thought the challenge was perfect for creating what is going to be a belated birthday card for a friend. I still haven't managed to move very far from all the blue tones I've been favouring lately although I have added a dash of pink in this week ;)

I pulled out my circle card thinlet to create a swing card.
Opening up..
 Flipped around.

I tried to keep the layers simpler here than on the ones I made for my kids birthdays earlier this year. But I made sure to add lots of little details to make it special enough. For example, I stamped the cupcake panel three times - once in black, once in Bermuda Bay and once in Strawberry Slush and then cut and punched and coloured and layered it all back together. I'm going to miss the ruffled ribbon - it adds so much gorgeous girly detail and a few little flowers can never go astray either ;) Really when you think about it, its hard to go wrong with a combination of polka dots and cupcakes!

Hope you can play along with us. Do check out the rest of the delicious offerings from the rest of the DT.

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
