well this past weekend was Mothers Day here in AUS. So in the lead up to that I was a busy girl making a card for my Mum and my MIL. Today's Just Add Ink challenge was just perfect for creating a flowery vintage number for my Mum (she loved it :). This week the challenge is to Just Add a Colour Combo. This lovely combo was suggested by Mae.
We are running this challenge for two weeks as many of the JAI DT are heading to the SU! South Pacific convention (excited squeal!!!!). If you are at Convention please do come along and say hello, we love to meet the talented crafters who play along with the challenges!!
Funnily enough the inside was simple and done and dusted in no time but the front evolved over a couple of weeks. I started with one spray of flowers and ended up with a whole field with the sentiment pieces peeping out of the flowers. I also puzzled about how I'd add the sentiment to the vellum tag. I wanted to emboss (and did) and came up with the solution of sponging on the back to really make the embossing pop.
My mothers day was spent at home with the family, constructing a loop the loop racing set and helping with homework (this Mum can turn her hand to all sorts of tasks - lol) and just enjoying being together :) (Ok I did slip some stamping in there too ;)
Hope you can join us. Do check out the rest of the DT for wonderful inspiration for using these lovely colours.
Thanks for visiting,
Kim
