JAI 178 Just add snowflakes

Hello there,
well I have to say some of the weather we've had here in Canberra this week was very wintery and a perfect match for the seasonal challenge we have for you this week at Just Add Ink. This week we want you to Just Add Snowflakes. I have to admit that no actual snowflakes were sighted here. Although, DH and the kids did find some when they went hiking up a local "mountain" nearby, much to the delight of the kids :)

I got to crack out some new stuff for this  - yippee. I was so pleased when my new snowflake set arrived in time for me to embossed that big silver snowflake.

The Night of Navy panel was impressed with a star pattern (inked with white ink) to create the effect you see. This panel was set up on dimensionals so that the snowflake (embossed in silver on vellum) sits down within the circle window. A big rhinestone finishes off the snowflake and I just added some ribbon and a sentiment tag to finish it off. Of course 5 minutes after I'd stuck it all together I realised I'd planned to round the bottom corners. Sigh - well may'be next time.

Hope you can join us for a little bit of snowy fun - do check out the wonderful snowflake offerings from the rest of the DT.

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
