Hello there,
well this week at Just Add Ink we have a colour challenge for you - and I must admit this wasn't a combo that came easily to me. Are you up for the challenge? Here it is.
I was lying on the couch, deciding whether to stay there and just doze, a rare option (but DH had the kids out of the house) when the idea for this card popped into my head, I turned it round and decided it could work and that was enough to get me off the couch. So I did. Here it is.
I don't use a lot of DSP (hording instincts kicking in here I think!) But it has a key role in this. I must admit I originally thought it would end up a bit more vintagey but while it has some elements of that I think it has a quite modern feel too. Regardless I was happy with the way it turned out and it gave me the chance to pull out one of my in colour dahlia's too.
Thanks for visiting and if you want some great inspiration to get you going check out the rest of the DT!

ReplyDeleteWell Kim you were definitely up for the challenge and I am glad you got off the couch to make this beautiful card. I love the dynamic effect of that bunch of flowers...just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely card Kim - the bunch of flowers and leaves look wonderful in your jar. Love how you've used the spotted blue DSP in the jar - great effect!
