JAI 133 Just add mustard and metallics

Hello there,
well when I first heard what the Just Add Ink challenge was for this week, I was, like really? How on earth am I going to do that!! But then an idea popped into my head and I was right. I just love it when I get that light bulb momment - what you have in your head may not always translate to paper but when it does it's great (big smile). So what is the Just Add Ink challenge? It's.......Just add mustard and metallics.

And my idea? Well it was sunflowers. I must admit I redid this front panel at least three times, first working out the layout, then I smudged a flower then on the last leaf, forgot to stamp it off first - grrrr. Even this one isn't as perfect as I would like it to be but at that point I decided to live with it! The flowers were inked up in So Saffron and then I rock and rolled them in More Mustard. I used Garden Green for the leaves but stamped it off first as it was just too strong otherwise. Once I finished the stamping I impressed a plaid pattern across the whole panel. The last step was to add some stitching around the edge. Oh and of course add the sentiment banner. With more, mustard and an embossed gold sentiment - there you see I didn't forget about the metallics ;) I added one more sunflower to the inside to finish it off. I was pretty happy with how it turned out - these sunflowers certainly added some sunshine to my day :)

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
