Just Add Ink #640 Surprise

 

Hello there,
time for a new challenge from Just Add Ink, and this week Fiona is asking us to add a surprise. Be as creative with this as you like....something to pop up, something to move, something inside... you get the idea.

My teen requested a birthday card with a sunset at the beach. So how was this going to be the surprise?...Well they had to open it up to find it! Here's the front.

The inside also pops out so you get more dimension to the inside scene.

The truely fiddly part of this was insetting blue glimmer pieces into the wave cut from the brushed Metallic paper but it was worth the effort as once overlaid with a white glimmer wave die cut I was able to achieve so much dynamic colour variation.

The next most fiddly thing was sorting the mechanism to get the inside sunset panel to pop out when you open the card. Not difficult as such, just fiddly.

The rest was some simple masking and lots and lots of colour blending...so much ink. But then that is the fun part!
