Just Add Ink #617 Choose Two

Hello there,
this week at Just Add Ink, Di has a versatile Choose Two challenge for us. For me it was the perfect opportunity to make a couple of baby cards to celebrate some new arrivals among our family and friends. Just choose two of the three options below and feature them in your project.

Here's how my projects turned out - I chose dots and die cuts.

A Little Wild is still a favourite for me to pull out for baby cards. Being short on time and inspiration this week I cased the design of a card on p49 of the current SU! catalogue. It's always good to know that sometimes you don't need to reinvent the wheel. To give it my spin I  added in some more detail - layers, stitching and banner. My little characters sit on bed of foliage and flowers that was a mix of stamped and die cut elements. This project was a mix of colouring, stamping and a lot of die cutting. I loved how both cards turned out but confess it took me hours to get done.

The Just Add Ink DT have lots of fabulous projects to how you so please go check them out and then come back and join in the challenge.

Thanks for visiting,

Kim

Hello there,
welcome to the Colour INKspiration 36 blog hop. If you are hopping your way around the blog hop, you will have arrived from Nicole Wilson's blog. If you are starting the hop here but would like to go to the start at the  Colour INKspiration challenge page over on Facebook, just click the link to be redirected and ask to join the group, that way you can load your projects directly to the Facebook group.

Please remember the new rules about what else you can add to the mix in addition to the challenge colours below; essentially just the Basics - Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as well as metallics. Here's the INKspiration picture for this week. The colours for this round are Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Basic Gray and Silver foil.

Here's what I came up with.

Those colours said bear and honey to me so I pulled out one of my fav sets - A Little Wild and got colouring! Hope you can join us and have some fun too! Next up, on the blog hop is Tanya Bell with another awesome project. Enjoy!

Just Add Ink #412 Choose Two

Hello there,
well this week has just flashed by and now I'm delighted to say it is Friday and that means it's time for a new Just Add Ink challenge. This week Lou has asked us to Just Choose Two. Just choose two of the options and use them on your project for the challenge.

I went with spots and splashes to make a watery mermaid card planning ahead for my niece's birthday this year.

Shimmery White card stock proved to be the perfect surface for getting a sparkly watercolored background. Once that was dry I added spots over the top with Shimmery White embossing paste. My little mermaid had Wink of Stella over her her too for additional sparkle.

There is a lot of fun to be had this week with the challenge so please join us and before you do go check out the rest of the Just Add Ink DT for some wonderful inspiration.

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
