Just Add Ink #385 Sketch

Hello there,
well today is the day many Aussie SU! demo are heading towards OnStage events. I am very excited to be catching up with friends, many of which I haven't seen for a year! Before I headed off I made sure to make my project for this week's Just Add Ink challenge. This week it's time to Just Add a Sketch (from me this week). Here's the sketch.

I'm still in Christmas card mode, and I also used it as an opportunity to take my old SU! Blendabilities on a test run before ordering the newer Blends version that were just released this month. One thing you will notice is that the colour depth and vibrancy is stronger than you can get with other colouring methods. Have a look.

I used the Cherry Cobler and Calypso Coral marker sets to colour the petals of my poinsettia and the Old Olive markers for the leaves. To add that extra dimension on the front I actually stamped the flower twice, coloured just the central petals then trimmed them out and layered them over a full flower bottom layer. Colouring is a fabulously relaxing thing to do - I rarely get the time to do it but I do love it when I do!

The Just Add Ink DT have a gorgeous array of project for the sketch. Please go check them out and then come back and show us your take on the sketch.

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
