Just Add Ink #391

Hello there,
well Christmas really is right around the corner now. I have spent December working on cards and tag projects which made the final challenge of the year at Just Add Ink a perfect one. This week I suggested we Just Choose Two. Just pick two of the options and use those for you project. I choose tags and twine (retrospectively I have realised that of course my die cut scenery has trees - so choosing two was surprisingly difficult!)

Here's one of my tag projects. This series are for the 'grown up' nieces and nephews in family. I always give them a gift card but make it special each year by packaging it up in some different way. This year I was inspired by a project that popped up on a Stampin Up! demo FB site by Sonja Fischer's (also posted on her blog here. Sonja has a pdf available to download and also links to a video tutorial). Her tags were designed to look like a tea bags within which you could tuck a tea bag. I decided to repurpose mine for gift cards, eliminating the extra mountain and valley folds on the inside. I also decided I had to recreate some of the colour palettes I had used over the last few months when creating Christmas cards. Here's the whole set.

Close up's of each tag.

I personalised each one with the initial of the recipient. Since there are two 'M's it might be a little confusing, but I'm sure they'll work it out. All they need is to open them up as you have space not only for the gift card but to write a message as well.

This will be a non voting challenge running till Jan 3, as the Just Add Ink team will be taking time out for some summer holidays, so you will have plenty of time to share your projects with us.

We look forward to seeing your wonderful creations. Don't forget to check out the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the Just Add Ink team. Lastly, I wish you all a Happy Christmas I will be taking a little blog break but look forward to being back in Jan 2018!

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
