Inkspirations 39 - Belated Fathers Day
well I'm back this week with my card for Makeesha Byl's weekly challenge this week a sketch. Here it is.
Now I did remember to call my Dad on Father's Day but I have been procrastinating about a card as I wanted to send him something that I liked and also thought he would like! So I used the sketch to hopefully come up with something that fits the bill! Here's the result.
I started out with a Choc Chip base, cut A frame, then added a Whisper White layer, then topped that with a Baja layer that I had impressed with a woodgrain pattern. I also smudged white ink over the pattern and then sponged around the edges with Chocolate Chip. For the flower element in the sketch I cut two frames, one from DSP and the other from Whisper White. Then I added a lounge chair, stamped on and then trimmed out from DSP, and a Choc Chip pussy cat to sit on the top. The final element was to layer some 1" retired Choc Chip stitched grosgrain under the frame and add the sentiment.
I was happy with how it turned out - some nice texture and good colours for a blokey card. So its off into the mail ASAP!
Thanks for visiting,
