Just Add Ink #410 Inspiration

Hello there,
doing a happy dance here as we have a long weekend this weekend and I am looking forward to some relaxing! Think reading on the couch in the sun, maybe a movie, and I hope some stamping too. Last weekend I was successful in finding some time and so I have a very colourful card for you today that just makes me happy. This week at Just Add Ink Jo has asked us to Just Add Inspiration and the pic is filled with colour! You can use the colours, objects or patterns in the picture to inspire your project. Here it is.

How could I overlook those colours! I'm not usually a brights girl but this week I ventured down that path, and I brought in the spots you see in the inspiration picture as bokeh.

The inside.

On the inside I reversed the effect and added bright bubbles of colour, toning them down with an additional layer of white ink over the top.

Tip: To achieve my bokeh effect I made myself a template punching different sized circles into an acetate sheet, so now I have a handy reusable resource!

The Just Add Ink DT have lots of gorgeous projects to show you so please go check them out and then come back and join in the challenge!

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
