Just Add Ink #744 Choose Two

Hello,
time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. This week Di has a Choose Two challenge for us. I think you'll find this one fun, colourful with the potential for lots of shimmer. Here are the choices. Just pick two and feature them on your project.

I couldn't resist the idea of a rainbow, and as rainbows are kind of magical I just had to add even more magic. Here's how it turned out.

I started by blending a rainbow of colours, using the rainbow die as a guide for the space I had. Once I had the spectrum I die cut the rainbow. I then inset the large bands of colour within some white glimmer card stock. I also cut an array of cloud from the glimmer paper adding a light shading to the bottom edges. The clouds serve as the platform for my pegasus which was coloured with blends. To add to the shimmer factor I also liberally swiped Wink of Stella over the pegasus and added some sequins.

The Just Add Ink DT have lots of lovely projects to show you so please go check them and then come back and join in the challenge.

Thanks for visiting,
Kim

Just Add Ink #742 Inspiration

Hi there,
time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. This week Nikki has an inspiration challenge for us. It's very lush and green! Here's the inspiration pic. Use the colours, pattern or objects you see in the inspiration picture as the main feature of your project.

All that leafy foliage really caught my attention. I had the perfect background stamp for that which had yet to see ink. Here's how it turned out.

To start I stamped the leafy background in Shaded Spruce on some Soft Sea Foam card stock. Then blended over Shaded Spruce, Shy Shamrock and Soft Sea Foam in an ombre gradient. Once that was dry I flicked over white gouache paint. For the sentiment I used Versamark to stamp on Shaded Spruce card stock and then white embossed. Once die cut I mounted the sentiment on two die cut layers. A bow of mixed twine finished it all off.

The Just Add Ink DT have lots of lovely projects to show you so please go check them and then come back and join in the challenge.

Thanks for visiting,
Kim
